We're sorry, you're not actually President.

The Inaugaration, at least a million people came to witness Barack Obama becoming the first black president of the United States. That was the whole point of all of it, and guess what happened? They messed it up. This might be news to you, but there was actually a word out of sequence, meaning that he could continue, but if somebody mentioned the fact, then it would be an awkward situation as it is true.

So just to be on the safe side they did it again yesterday, except with a smaller crowd. There were reporters there, but not with a million people like on Tuesday. A bit annoying to everyone who was there no doubt, but he's President and everyone there did witness his brilliant speech, so it's not that bad.

Guantanomo bay is an extremely harsh prison camp, and Obama has promised to close it down. He has already brought the trials of the Guantanomo bay detainees to a full stop already and hopes that the facility will be shut down completely by the end of this year.

I'm sure all of us will see Obama's promises carried out soon, people are going to have to be patient. I ask, what is Obama going to promise next? An end to the death penalty?

Keep on waiting and soon we can find out.

From what I understand, the CIA will no longer be able to use lawful interrogation techniques. Only Army Field Manual techniques will be used. Unfortunately, terrorists are trained to outwit Army Field Manual techniques.

On the death penalty -- I would love to see it end. Some argue that the appeals process is too long and costly. For me, money is not the issue. I think it is torture. I am also willing to bet that there are innocent people on death row. But states retain the right to decide on that one.

Since you mentioned the death penalty, here's a side note:

Another thing Obama should consider is a MORATORIUM ON PRISON CONSTRUCTION. Yes, overcrowding in US prisons is a major problem, but building new ones doesn't even camouflage the situation. Obama is an Africa-American, so this should be a personal issue for him. The African-American inmate population is disproportionately high. His social and economic agenda may help to alleviate the problem, but he needs to tackle it head-on.
