The Taj Hotel has caught alight! The flames burned, and firefighters bravely risked their lives to save the hostages that were trapped within. A few of the hostages are now safe.
Earlier 38 year old Sajjad Karim gave a live report from inside the building. He gave information, and just before the phone went dead reported: “I managed to turn away and I ran into the hotel kitchen and then we were shunted into a restaurant in the basement. We are now in the dark in this room, and we have barricaded all the doors. It’s really bad.”
Let's all hope that the situation get's better, and for the New York Times full report on the matter go to http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/27/world/asia/27mumbai.html .

Mumbai disaster!
Latest news from Mumbai, if you hadn't heard already, the situation is bad, real bad. At least 100 people are dead and at least 300 injured. Explosions, gunshots, not good right now. About 40 people are trapped in the Taj hotel, and 4 terrorists are in there with them.
Who is behind this? The "Decan Mujihadeen" are claiming it is them, but this is unlikely as the attacks don't quite fit for them. Let's hope the mystery is solved.

Solution? Or waste?
"The American Government have put 800 billion dollars into the bailout package. They have also asked for nearly 300 billion dollars from oil-rich Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the Emirates (combined) to prevent a global financial meltdown."
This is what Dave has informed me of, and he presented me with the question: What strings are attached to this money?
America is a big, strong country. Asking for this huge amount of money from these other countries is going to have a negative side. These countries now could mention at anytime, "Remember that 300 billion dollars?", this could make America a lot weaker. Is it worth it? Will it strengthen the economy so much that America doesn't mind if it leaves them a lot weaker? It could go in any direction right now. This is a time on the Earth that will greatly influence Mankind's fate. Let's hope all of the Government's make good decisions.
Thank you Dave for this piece of information. If anyone else has news that is too important to ignore, just mention it.

Crisis Be Gone!
Bush and Obama have both started to fix the economic crisis. Think it's going to work? we'll find out soon. United they are strong. Here's hopes America will follow their lead.In other news, a new game has shocked the world. Enduring America may already know about this, the War on Terror board game!
That's right, in this game your objective is to gain as much land as possible and gain oil for money. Eventually there isn't enough land or oil left so then you look towards your nearest other empire. Hmmm, they wouldn't mind if I took 1 measly country, you wonder. Then war begins.

Also, the war on terror continues, Obama is still a couple months away from the WhiteHouse and http://www.conservapedia.com/ still has no idea which articles are true and which are fake.Keep watching America!

Apologies
I apologise for a lack of reports for at least a week. After Obama was elected, there isn't much more for a while. Just some small reports to make.
1. Bush and Obama are discussing the changes that will be made to America. Introducing a small bit of Bush in Obama's decisions? Maybe.
2. Chicago has become a much more confident city. All are celebrating at Obama's victory.
3. The war continues. When Barack Obama moves into the whitehouse in 60 days, we can see what he does from there and if it changes
4. Al-Qaeda have acknowledged Barack Obama's victory. Claiming it to be "A new face to mask the heart of hate in America.
5. A $10 million project has been launched to regenerate a mammoth. Not related to Politics but I think it's important enough to make an impact.
6. Managua, Nicaragua. The riots have begun. Many citizens are claiming that the election was rigged. These are still continuing.
I hope to get more posts up quicker. Enduring America is regularly posted, check them out if you haven't already.

Unusual? Optimistic? Or Reasonable? What am I talking about? The citizen's new expectations of Obama of course.
After victory in the election, Obama has amassed quite a crowd of supporters, all loyal to his cause. After winning the election, picking his staff, lowering the expectations a little bit are 3rd on his "to do" list. Is this a good idea? It would be a weapon that Bush might have used, complete confidence in Obama could allow him to get away with anything. He could easily start a war if he really wanted to with very little reason. So why is he letting it slip?
There are several reasons:
1. Complete confidence and high expectations could cause anger if, say, research for a solution to Global Warming starts, the population would want it to happen almost immediately, lowering expectations will cause people to understand that nothing that will make a huge difference will happen overnight.
2. Admitting the truth will probably make people happier with Obama, America wants a President who will be honest with them, tell them the complete truth, by lowering expectations, Obama will be considered good and honest, the perfect President recipe.
3. Mr.Gibbs, one of Obama's senior advisers wants everyone to know that Obama is always trying to change things for the better, but even if it doesn't happen immediately, that doesn't mean that it's been given up and that there is little chance of seeing it ever happening.
This problem is very similar to the election of 1992, where Bill Clinton had collected amazingly high expectations from the people of America. Obama's changes to America should not be measured by 100 days. Obama told an interviewer it would be more reasonable to measure his changes in 1000 days.
Nothing will happen immediately, hopefully the Earth will know this when Obama moves into the White house.

The Result!
The Result! Obama: 364 McCain: 174. After all this time, we have the outcome of the 44th U.S President. Barack Obama, the first black President of the United States of America! Here's hoping he will lead America and the world to a better, brighter future! I personally wanted Obama, but I am sorry to the McCain supporters, he was a good candidate and should not have been booed off on his last speech(despite what Fox claims, this is true). I hope everyone is placing their vote on the poll we have, it ends on new year and it would be nice to know who you are all supporting!

Get ready... Set...
Notice: www.enduringamerica.com will have a live blog on all night tonight. Be there to have regular updates on the election every 15 minutes, get details on why each state voted the way it did, or just use it as an alternative way to learn who’s winning.
So, Election Day 2008. This is it, 2 years of campaigning and at least a billion dollars spent, all leading to today, today America chooses its president, and, one way or another, it will affect every citizen worldwide and ultimately, the future of Earth.
Who do you think will win? Libertas’ final projection is Obama: 338 and McCain: 200. With nearly every projection an Obama victory, I think, and I’m sure you do too, that it is highly improbable for a Republican victory. It’s true that John McCain is still shouting out “We will win this!” but, unluckily for him, I don’t think much people still believe that he has a chance.
So after all this time, I ask you this, has it been a good election? Have both the candidates played well? I think it has been a very fair election, both sides tried well, and as Obama said, all he could have done was done, and now, it’s all in the people’s hands now.
Fingers crossed for who you want to win, take a deep breath and prepare for a night of nights.

November 2nd 2008
2 days ago on the New York Times a report was made stating some people worrying about the election. Obama supporters are worried that even though many polls have been created, the majority claiming Obama will win, might be wrong and the election will end with another Republican victory.
Is this going to happen? Is it just pessimistic? Or is it going to be another 4 years of Republican rule? Thinking about this, I have concluded, maybe, but probably not. A poll on http://www.electoral-vote.com/ showed a victory for Obama, but on 2004, it showed a victory for Kerry. The polls have been wrong before, why would they be right this time?
Well, last time there was no http://www.libertas.bham.ac.uk/ or http://www.enduringamerica.com/ , and this time, the predictions are better for Democrat. The New York times attracts a lot of readers, which made me think of something, this news report could very well lose the Democrats a couple hundred voters.
The pessimism of the report could generate depression in the hearts of Americans, causing them to not bother voting. “What’s the point”, they’ll say, and then 1 voter for Democrat is gone. This could actually have a negative effect on the Democratic campaign.
Or the polls, since they all say that Democrats will win, many people may just not bother, thinking it’s already won. This is what a group called “Move on” are trying to do, prevent people from thinking this and trying to get every Democrat to vote, to make sure that Obama does win. Nobody who can vote shouldn’t vote.
Go to http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/01/us/politics/01angst.html?hp for the article of news and see how much people are actually affected by this worry. I think that the people should just calm down. If Obama doesn’t win, it could be terrible for America, many people will be sorely disappointed, but, oh well. If enough of the population is really that disappointed, then eventually protests will happen, the world won’t end. If America is really the free country the Government says it is, what can they do about it?
All in all, don’t get too down, stay strong and stand up for what you think is right, even if you are standing alone.
